The LP control works fine.
Just don't attempt to control a system with it that uses an AXV.
For future motor problems, Scott.
There's quite a difference between those two motors, especially in bringing a grease-laden cage up to speed!
The original motor can develop .94hp without ...
Go reset your breaker(or fuse)...one side tripped, feeds to other leg via cch etc.
Does this system use clutch-cycling?
If so...is the compressor cycling off?
(Sorry, but I don't plan on using much of my alloted time learning Hyundai technology.)
Your readings of 0/150 are ok.
As far as holding at 4.5A, that would be at full load & highest allowable ambient & min voltage.
Don't set it to -5f with 10 diff.
It's taking 3 full hours...
Get a spun-copper filter/drier c/w access valve.
Guessing about 12 bux, may be almost give away in good old US of A!
Evacuate from both valves.
Envision... you'll have to donate that freezer to the Smithsonion.
45 years on that old AT43 and still going!
With a perforated line & zero freon, that freezer would have been inhaling &...
Good description, 1CanHas, but errors in second-last paragraph may confuse some.
Get familiar with SH and SC for recharging.
If you can, buy some Sman3 digital gauges & do SH SC WB temp for target SH on every job that you do.
Try to determine the reason for any out...
All the more to you for finding it.
Way to go!
Sorry for screaming, Redman1126 but it was so obvious.
But that was EXACTLY my point.
Reading comprehension skill
Then explain why the pickup is only submerged 1/2 inch, and the return goes to the bottom of the holding tank?
Ok so the pump is proper rotation.
But could the suction/discharge hoses have gotten reversed?
Magoo, we've run into the same condition.
Do your AC's have economizers?
I remember Toronto cooled off from that lake Ont breeze quite nicely.
If so, suggest you disable them. It's not...
Very good to hear, Kefah.
In canada we're hearing terrible atrocities are going on over there.
We're sending plane loads of arms etc to the Kurds.
Food, shelters & other help would also be...
Called to a new building's RTU installation.
Of 5 Lennox Prodigy units... 3 not working.
Two LPS not connected.
One flat, leak at bottom of evaporator.
Tagged for warrenty...
I notice there's no reply from Kefah in any of his threads.
As he's from Iraq I sure hope that he is not having to flee in front of those SOB nut-job radicals. Hope Kefah is nowhere near the...
You should do away with the condenser fan completely.
Perhaps drag the dog house next to the unit.
On really hot days call the dog's name a few times so he wags his tail.
PHM, you'll break...
And in between is a standing puddle of current?
Of course you meant v.
Used to be called "recirculate", ie a closed loop.
Cabin air only rerun thru evap.
Also the setting for passing cars on dust-choked back roads.
Kefah, measure the voltage developed across the capacitor.
Only excess v and overly hi temp kills run capacitors.
Bad batch of capacitors?
Try two double mfd capacitors wired in series, ...
[QUOTE]... I took the readings to ground and measured across them. 120 to ground, less than 1 across.[ /QUOTE]
Key sentence here.
Bet if you grnded the blower neutral it would run.
I wasn't joking, but good answer!
I was getting to ask you if it has a board of any kind.
Also, all these v readings... is that to grnd?
You sure your neutral's intact?
A few questions:
What ohms reading were you expecting on the secondary?
Since you got a new xmer, did you compare resistance readings?
What's a 70% efficiency air handler?
I don't think it works that way.
Suction pressure(load) & efficiency of condenser determine discharge pressure.
The condenser does great with 90mph air flow.
Kefah, as a journeyman auto mechanic as well as...
Y does nothing at furnace.
Just carry on to condensing unit with that wire.
Condemming a unit for something as simple as possibly a spun copper strainer in the condenser is foolish.
Good for the bottom line, though.
OP, shut unit off, quickly ck inside condenser for...
That's a type of TXV, controlled by SC rather than SH.
I think they run a flooded evap with a huge LL heated accumulator.
I've seen those on a few PMU tanks powered by Westinghouse Hi-ReLi...
He's back downstairs making pizza.
Ha that's right.
A typical VOM is 20k ohm/v so on the 50v scale would be a megohm of circuit loading.
Jj I'm hesitant to make a recommendation, as 300 to nearly 400w for a door heater is so far off from what we're using.
Does that Kolpak unit have metal strips that cover the heater, that perhaps...
If you're getting twice the heat that you want, order the same type of heater but in 230v, which will have double the resistance but half the W on 120v.
These heaters sure need contact with...
Yes, resistance load follows W=VxA.
120v x 2.5a =300w
You never mentioned door width, but if standard walk-in size, that's app. 18ft.
Unless they're using a twin loop at 36ft which would ...
If it sealed with Leak lok, it would have sealed without it.
LeakLok is ok for sealing your Tupperware sandwich box so ants don't get in.
That's about it!
Jj I don't know the door dimensions, but common ones have about 18ft circumference.
If so, your installed 2.5A heater would be pushing near 17w/ft @120vac, no?
I find that 6w/ft works just...
Tamar, with all due respect, if on a routine basis you are scrapping factory-approved pot. relay/cap for a permamently installed 3in1, you are misinformed.
Have you ever stopped to consider why...
Lots of assumptions here... all of them wrong.
Don't discount that huge mass of batteries' btu load.
Sure, they do not get much past warm, but they still are a big heat load, especially when charging.
Also the charging transformer/diodes ...
If the belt is sitting "that far down" and you're not happy with the drive ratio, you simply adjust it.
However, if wear has largely changed the belt to sheave angle then...
Potential relay & start capacitor... that IS a hard start kit!!
You would just be putting excess current thru the start winding & shifting phase past optimum.
Try swapping start capacitor...
How the heck can a Liquid line filter drier be between the compressor and anything?
Sure you're not just cutting out an anti-resonance muffler?
On the Challenger launch, no doubt...
"Our additive will not damage them "O" rings!"
IF YOUR APPLICATION ALLOWS, a delay on bk may extend the life of the start capacitors.
Is the dual-series start capacitor OEM?
Take an acv reading across this setup on start. I highly doubt ...
That's the size of a medium timber wolf!
I suggest that you work on getting him to sic on command.
You could start by hosing off the outside units' "rads" and get them rejecting max heat.
Turn them off so the electric components don't get soaked.
Or move to n. Canada... it's a sweltering...
John, providing that the xmer has sufficient VA rating, your problem may be in the added Delay-on-make etc add ons.
If it's a long wire v drop problem, use a 24v relay in control ckt to feed...
