If you read the OP, and if this is installed as an upflow....how are you going to install the evap coil effectively? Also, the OP talks about multi-positional....that is talking about...

If the valve is directional, you will have to remove and re-install in the correct direction. It is because of the flow pattern through the valve, and it minimizes turbulence and maximizes flow.
