I’m surprised the climate master rep didn’t know about these.

Have you tried the harmonics kit from CM? Two rubber tubes go on the discharge line.

Grills wouldn't matter after a certain point. Your "duct" is still as big as the joist, which is roughly 110 cfm IIRC.
Cjpwalker, I've been hanging out here more than pro talk simply because there's so much BS and little actual good content like here. ;)
Is the stat wired right? Y2 and Y1 reversed?
I did Geo at my house at the end of last summer. My main reason was that where I live you either have oil, propane, or go all electric. Last winter (2014), I had an electric bill of over $700 because...
Straight AC I assume?
Snow birds though wouldn't be around, hence why beenthere says he does Y, and we both work in the same area in PA.
Unless he's up north, then I'd wire Y instead of transformer.
It's been mentioned before, but you can try running the tubing in the flue itself using a Y fitting.
Curious though that if it's a laundry room, why not just run to a slop sink or where washer...
Nice job finding it. Seems odd for wires stuck together to rub through like that, but as we all know, anything is possible!
I love those. We haven't been there in x years and now they want a PM done? Suspicious lol.
If i were to charge a HP now, i go by ambient - (15-20 degrees) = evap temp. Never heard of using discharge temp like that.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.
What's the voltage rating of the igniter? And do you have power to it? I saw 24v at valve so here's what I'm reading:
Inducer comes on at call for heat. Igniter "should" come on but isn't. After...
Sure enough! Thanks! Didn't even realize you could program the fan!
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.
For some reason, my HW 8000 stat isn't working properly with the fan. It works when in "On" or "Circ", but on "Auto" both "On" and "Auto" pop up on the screen and the fan runs constantly. I've only...

Tada! Bookmark it for a handy reference. ;)

I was wondering that too. Asked but OP didn't answer that yet.

Certain carrier, Bryant, etc models do that too. Two minute prepurge. Always throws me off!

At the same time when it calls for heat?
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.
I was thinking that too based on that site, but the J letter threw me off.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react.
I had a feeling you'd find out. ;)
Thanks!

Well, yeah, but we wanted to know its age.

Coworker does. I'll get it from him.

Coworker and I want to know the age of this thing. Condemned HX but still curious how old it is.

I would think that a retired chiller tech who's been a member of this board since '08 would be a pro member by now, not a regular guest. So I'm inclined to agree with you snupy.
Also johncarlson,...
Just musing randomly, but breaking common would still have power passing through all components prior to returning to the furnace/ahu. So possible damage to those components without a complete...
That's a good point beenthere; I'll remember that for future reference since we're fellow PA-ns. ;)
Thanks to all of you for sticking up for me. I tend to read more than chime in since I have so little experience, hence why I don't post much. Still learning a lot from doing and also reading your...
So now that we finally cleared the air, was the issue resolved/found?
A 90+% gas furnace would make condensate. ;)
I'd break Y as well unless the stat was digital and was hard wired with no batteries. People might notice a blank screen faster than no cooling. ;)
What? As was stated, I'm a two year tech. ME. I was not making any slant at you or anyone else. Just trying to make a suggestion. So pardon me for trying to help based on MY limited experience. Was...
Glad to know someone else was thinking the same thing. And thanks; HS teacher used to say it.

Did you check all the safety limits? There may be one on the blower that's open, causing the problem. You said the furnace lights though? Only a two year tech here. ;)
Life is 10% what happens...
I saw it in a small catalog at UR. Said voice command but then the product info said nothing about that feature. Counter guy said, "it's too f***ing hot!" or "damn, it's cold!" is how it works...
Phosgene is the result of heated refrigerant, and you wouldn't be brazing with it in the lines. I'm not sure then what the other guy was talking about. If anything, you just need to be aware of oil...
Last I checked electricity was color blind. ;)

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind.
I've never seen this formula before. Could you explain the rationale for it?
X2 simple math will tell you that.
Cylinder volume = pi * r^2 * height
I didn't see it in any pictures, but was the float switch wired in correctly?
My 410a gages have ball valve, but my 22 set is low loss. I like both.
I too was under the impression that some kind of low loss hoses were required for service to lessen loss. Loosing all that...
Restriction at the distributor would be my guess. Definitely a restriction though if it's freezing at that point.
I have two sets, one for 22 and another for 410a. That way I know I won't mix refrigerants.
One thing an instructor told me about purging though is that if you purge and connect, the air in your...
When I used to take music lessons, my teacher would always say, "Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect." Meaning if you do something wrong repetitively, you'll keep doing it...
If you're using a SH calculator, you need outdoor ambient and indoor wet bulb to properly charge via SH. Your target might be 10 in 90 degree weather, but might only be 6 if it's 70 outside and dry...
He's talking about doing PMs on units, not running ac for cooling comfort.
I'd say outdoor temp. Forty-five degrees outside is in no way a good indicator of cooling. If anything, your saturation temp was around 70 outside, so having such a low temp there would surely have...
