Me too! I was thinking about that myself!
That was the problem!!! The inducer draft motor was wired wrong. I had the brown where the purple should be! Changed these two wires and it fixed it!
thank you for your info. I will do some more research. I will tell you this, if I stick my fluke CO monitor at the flue exhaust it will peg out at a thousand ppm. It will burn your eyes.
as the refrigerant goes thru the system to the 2-9's, and the 12 is off but the suction is on a common header would it not create a draw on the lineas the other ref is going by to pull out the...
there CO was going off audibly at 125ppm and and mine would get up there around 60 and 70 then I would stop monitoring at that point. Nothing else is running to produce the gas.
Yes, that got burned off already.
Thank you and congrats on your up and coming. My wife and I waited until he came out. What an awesome experience to have!
I tried getting the size today @ Carrier so I could match it up with what was on there but the counter guy couldn't find it so I just left it alone for the time.
Yes sir! Well, for a clog yes, for the right size orfice-no.
sorry about the slow responses, I just had my first child two weeks ago and I have been trying to spend some time with him!! It is natural gas. That is a good idea on the draft motor. I will check...
i noticed that both part #'s have a 500 in it but the part #'s i have for two of the parts have 400 in them. Such as the inducer fan assembly is a 48gs400649 and the flue box collar is a 48gs400108....

i am just curious. what does it matter if the "liquid line solenoid" for the lower unit was off for a long time, when you get a call from the other 2 units they should still open up and meter?
Everything is basically new. New heat exchanger, inducer assembly, back plate, gas valve, and the 2 inshot burners. I called Carrier and there is no regulator or flame retainer for this piece of...
Just got home after going back out this call again. I replaced the gas valve due to an intermittent problem of not openning up when 24v was applied to the valve. After that, I just started it up...
great advice!

Thank you for your response. The only other thing in the house that is on gas is the water heater and at this time it is not working itself. They have had it shut down for a while. Now on the...
I installed a new heat exchanger, inducer draft motor assembly, & the back plate for the draft motor today and after getting it done I started it up and everything came on fine. The 2 shot burners...
I can't see any photos. What am I doing wrong?
I haven't done any rectangular ductwork before but would like to learn. finding the time now is the hard thing. I do all round pipe, which still looks good but I really enjoy seeing this type of...
Thank you. Your a kind man. I have one on order!
How thoughtful.
This evening I replaced an inducer fan motor wheel on a carrier gas pack. Everything went well until i started the heat up to check for proper operation. Combustion fan came on, you could hear the...
The evaporator is on top.
The filters are clean. This is an uncased coil by the way but now you are correct on the vacuum statement sort of. There is plenty of fall, no question, but there is a vacuum pulling the water away...
I just got through servicing an Intertherm/Nordyne air handler on a mobile home. The homeowner had recently had another contractor out which they replaced a motor mount and a capacitor and that was...
Luke warm.
What exactly are you working on, a test?
What's the best software out there to do manual j's for residentials?
