Developed an android app that does a lot if that counts here :bump:
I have a test cord that I made. It outputs 120v or 24v, and also has an option for a start winding when testing motors.
Anyone have any homemade tools that they use? I'm working on making a test cord that outputs 120v or 24v.
Oh okay, that makes more sense now. Thanks for all the helpful information!
I use the thermocouple that came with my uei meter and a $1 clamp from Harbor Fright.
So when you go to take them off, you dont need to seat the king valve. You just close the ball valve and take them off?
This is probably a dumb question, but when I looked them up I saw shut-off valve and ball valve hoses. Is there a difference between the two?
Oh okay, sounds like a good investment. Wouldn't you really only need one for the liquid line?
What are the ball valve hoses used for exactly?
That's what I thought, I do some commercial. But not enough to get more than 2 sets. Saw an older set at a flea market for $35 the other day so I'll probably get that and eventually some low loss...
That's a good point. Had not thought of that one.
I'm pretty new to the field. I have about 1 year of experience and I'm in school. I've heard a lot about oils getting mixed up in gauges. I have one pair of gauges so far, but I'm thinking about...
Seems like people are using the hall of shame as references for installing their own furnaces
Anti-Gravity P-Trap for refrigerant
Wow. Routers have mounts on the back of them for a reason... Lol
If this did have the precharged lineset, couldn't the installer have just moved the condenser over a little more? Probably have to lay down another pad, but wouldn't have the extra 4' of lineset
I sometimes work at Pittsburgh Airport with one of my instructors and it looks a lot like this. Go up in a boom lift about 5 stories onto a platform about that size. Luckily I'm small enough to fit...
Worked on an ice machine my first semester of HVAC school. I now make sure I get my drinks without ice.
Wow, that is just horrible. They must have forgot that filters need to be replaced.
I'm not sure about any rule of thumbs. But I use a chart I found here: Links to direct purchase sites are not permitted here.
Alright, I know I don't have access since we used to put in luxaires, but now we put in goodmans. But I'll try and look up the numbers on the barcode stickers and see what I can come up with. Thank...
Alright. Why do you say that? Because I would have to have a pay account? It does sound like it would be a pain. I was thinking maybe I could find a way to wire an Ethernet cord to it
I really appreciate all the help by the way
