That I know of, Koldpak does not make evaporators. It's probably a Heatcraft or Russell. You can purchase them cheaper at a local wholesaler who sells one of these brands.

I like to keep the evaporator TD around 8.5 to 9 for a -10F box. Using a 7500 would put the TD around 6.9 which will get even lower at a higher ambient.

Look on the name plate of the motor. Copeland usually shows their part number.

Nope, it's all about BTUH requirements and picking a unit that matches those requirements at a given SST.
An extended medium temperature compressor has a SST (Evap Range) of -25F to +25F. So it can be used in freezer or cooler application. Of course the BTUH capacity will drop the lower the SST.
That's a 3/4 HP unit pumping about 7500 btuh's. It's undersized for an 8 x 10 x 7.6 cooler. The long pull down time, freezing up and needing defrosts is a result of an undersized unit.
There's no reason for a defrost timer on a cooler unless it's undersized or running temperatures around 32F. I design for a 16 hour run time which gives an 8 hour off cycle defrost. An 8 x 10 35F...

It's very common to design reach in equipment at a 15 to 20 TD. That way we can get more btuh capacity when there are limits on the size of an evap that will fit the box.

Actually I used the condensing unit capacity for a: F3AD-A151-CFV which uses the CR18 compressor and includes 5 F subcooling. I never use A/C ratings for commercial refrigeration.

The only difference between the "K2E" and the "K2" is the oil. The "K2E" has POE oil.
