I use the FPST4 for SH and SC. Get the larger clamp, or insulate the smaller one when you use it.....just calibrate it every few months, and good to go.

if you don't COMPLETELY RINSE any cleaner away, it will end up bad....eventually.
you shouldn't see ANY soapy bubbles coming off a coil when done rinsing. -

also, refrig. oil begins to vaporize below...
also, refrig. oil begins to vaporize below 100-150 microns......if any is in the tank or lines, you could be seeing that.

use a vacuum gauge like the bluvac....you'll know...

manifold really has nothing to do with vacuuming...
manifold really has nothing to do with vacuuming a system. should really only be the pump, the hoses, some core tools, and the gauge.

your micron gauge should be as far away from the...
your micron gauge should be as far away from the pump as possible. Also, it's faster to get rid of the gauges and use core tools, and a vacuum tree on your pump.

there was an article in the RSES journal about VRV testing.....they broke down the number of molecules that escape under pressure vs. under vacuum. good article.....pressure doesn't win over vacuum!
