Thanks weeb, great idea, was cooler in house on freeze day and will check indoor fan and orfice. I suspected I may have overcharged to get SH up.

Probably not your problem, but in my case the return air chase had a huge ( probably 5% of area) gap where it had been sucking attic air for who knows how long, but finally kicked high limit switch...

Well, there are at least 4 causes, just found today, leaking return air.

I just check for a voltage drop across terminals, 1 volt or more,change.

Thanks, I had finally figured it out, I put the pump on the oil discharge port (stood the unit upright) and pulled the measured amount of oil in to the suction side of the unit.

How do you guys (if you can remember that far back) change the oil in the old blue RRTI RRU30 recovery unit? There is only the 3/8 oil drain to fill through, kinda small for any funnel I have....

I have one and it does fine. Bought it brand new long ago .(filet mignon is..well if all you ever tasted was hotdogs...) I am a residental builder that does some ac because I like it.

I have an old RRTI RRU30 recovery unit that I need to change the oil in. It says use 3GS compressor oil. Can't find it. What kind of oil you guys use?
