I had a similar problem in a prior house and we had it fixed...
I would say go with the Evolution/variable speed furnace. It will cost more will be very flexible and should be quieter in operation most of the time.
We purchased the house earlier this year and it had the Bryant system already installed. There were the el cheapo "builder grade" thermostats on it so I had ther Thermidistats put on to replace them...
For what kind of furnace? For example, I have Bryant systems for my home and had Thermidistats installed since it was a good match to the equipment (sold by the same company.)
There are good architects and hack architects, just like there are good and hack installers. A willingness to learn is essential to be skilled in all the trades - and sadly, not everyone wants to.

I hlped a friend of mine move into a new house last weekend, and I noticed that he had a Goodman condensing unit.
When it kicked on, damn was it noisy. I was appalled. Good thing he doesn't have...
Flex? Ugh! I'd insist on sheetmetal -- especially for the return. Flex does not hold up well over time.
Thanks for the response... I'll let them know it's OK to install now!

I have what I hope is a simple question. I received a proposal from a company to install a new Thermidistat for my 2nd floor zone, which is a Bryant 697C and FK4CNF002 air handler.
They...
It may sound hokey, but "that's the life of a technician" if you're willing to make it be that way." Management will let you keep doing this until YOU tell them you won't. Since they're pocketing...
Why is it that I hear in my head as I look at these photos:
"hey y'all... watch this!"
You should leave as much net free area as the return has. For example, I have a 20x20 return (400 sq inches) on my 1srt flr. You should leave at least the equivalent of that in free space for the...
My error - the FK4C is paired with the 697C.
Thanks for the help... dash, it sounds like we'd get more from the FK4C/697C combo having a Thermidistat because of the variable speed capabilities of...
Thanks for the replies. I know that listing the furnace is overkill... I just wanted to make sure I was clear that the FK4C & 597C was paired up with the furnace and that it would all play together...
Hi there,
My wife and I just bought a 1927 house that is set up with 2 zones -- a Bryant 697C heat pump for the 2nd floor and a 350MAV furnace / FK4C & 597C coil and condenser for the first floor....
I'm only a homeowner, but I have to admit that I always skip companies names like "AAA Service" or "XYZ Plumbing" and so forth. I don't know if that's a rational thing to do, but these company...
Round is more effecient than oval, and the ideal shape in theory, but a well designed system is a well designed system, and takes the friction difference between the two into account.
By the logic...
I do not want real numbers at all, just an idea of how they would compare if going from scratch, installation wise. An idea of forced air being 1, staple-up being 1.5x, and radiant being 2x would...
All I can say as a homeowner is that I wish everyone could follow your example in this case. Good professionals are needed, and good customers understand that. This one was worth losing!
