Sorry, I meant the Visual Integrator user name and password.
We are replacing a balky Circon front end with a Jace. Is there a default user name and password for the Visual Integrator?
Thanks
Thanks Joey
Are there any issues integrating these into a Niagara AX system?
Yes it was stand-alone. And although it has a fan control output, these are the only fan powered VAVs I ever saw that did not control the fan. It ran continuously.
The attached photo is a VAV controller, I think by KMC. It can't be more than 5 years old but I don't see this part number anywhere. Can anyone confirm it's a KMC?
Thanks
Other mechanical contractors are going to know the affiliation between your two companies so separating may not help as much as you hope.
The Honeywell Hotline may be able to help, 888-516-9347.
controltec - the link would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
When selecting a space temperature setpoint, the dialog box that opens has the "Change" button greyed out. Would that be due to the demo software, or is it how the GCM/PEM was programmed?
A customer tells us that their Signal software talking to a GCM says it is a Demo version, and they can't operate the system completely.
Was there a demo version, maybe lower cost than standard...
Maybe a protocol analyzer like Wireshark would help you see what's going on.
The Honeywell Components Hotline is 763-954-6464.
I'd really appreciate getting the setup software also, email Email Address Removed
Thanks
Not sure of the distance but the intent is to use existing fiber to a remote pump station. If nothing else I can use an EasyIO controller and IP it to a media convertor.
Can anyone suggest a good solution for a few remote I/O points that need to connect to a Jace over fiber? I know there are many solutions with media convertors, routers, etc. but ideally I'd like...
Can't you eliminate the CCP and just bring the dampers and RTU into the Jace via Lon if Comm5 or a driver if Comm4? And can anyone tell me when Varitrac became Comm 5 instead of Comm 4?
That doesn't seem to be a current part. It's probably a 500 ohm Balco sensor but a Honeywell distributor could help you cross reference to something newer. They might want to know what controller...
If both valves are open for an extended time like overnight, the CHW coil can pick up heat from the HW coil and cause problems.
Be a little careful about having them fail open. We melted some controllers once when the medium pressure steam valve opened on the Unocc cycle.
Like they said, opening the cooling valve is good but doesn't help without a freeze pump or unless the main pump runs in the winter. You could also command the main pump on when there is a...
Stan,
Sorry, I hadn't seen your post. I haven't done a chilled beam, just had seen these sensors were available.
Aren't people's feet cold with a radiant floor?
Honeywell makes a dew point sensors and an alarm to notify before the chilled beam starts to condense.

How do you get a fox to pee in a cup?
If you had that notice on your drawings, I'd talk to a lawyer. And if that didn't help, I'd advise the A/E firms and project owner what happened, and disclaim all responsibility for the accuracy of...
They were actually trying to raise the minimum, so that doesn't sound like the problem, but thanks for the idea.
We have a number of Trane Comm 4 VAVs monitored from a JACE with the Infocon driver. The owner says that when they change a min air flow setting, they later see it revert back and often go to zero,...
We need to put Trane controls in a Metalaire VAV. I tried to order the VAV-UCM controller but the parts guy only came up with the board, not the pressure transducer (and cable). Anyone know what...
Is it true that JCI has announced that they are not making any more N2 controllers?
Do an Internet search for window magnetic switches and you'll see lots. They will be available from security dealers.
If you are looking for a stand-alone controller, I would still use your favorite DDC controller and program the lead-lag, even if the controller never becomes part of a network. If I were a...
Another example of how open BACnet is!
That card board slide rule is quick and easy.
At their price point, I wonder how large they think the market is and how many they can sell? For comparison, Honeywell has sold over 100 Million round stats although that's been over many years.
Love that LonSpec for VAV controllers.
I recently bought a refurb Dell Latitude with Win XP and PCMCIA slot for about $250. Looks almost new.
You'd need an N2 license for the Honeywell Jace, which I don't believe JCI would provide.
If cost is no object, try some industrial valve manufacturers. For example, DeZurik has a 317 s.s. ball valve (VPB) although 1" is the smallest and you'd have to adapt to it.
Both. Tridium won't talk to the fire panels, and if it could, it's not UL listed to do so.
Is the shape a take-off on the 100+ million selling Honeywell round?
If you shove a temperature sensor down a conduit buried in the slab, consider fastening the element to a fish tape to make sure it goes all the way. Then cut the fish tape off and leave it in the...
We found a roof top unit like that, on a closed store where someone had killed themselves trying to remove copper wire - that still had 480 volts on it!
Do you want any room that calls for heat to turn it on? If so, you could wire the R, C and W terminals on 4 stats in parallel. Diodes would isolate like you want but only on a DC circuit and not...
We think you're right about modifying the unit with Rover but you're also right that we don't want to affect the warranty.
Be aware that if you want to integrate via Lon to these new 100% OA units, that the discharge air control profile is very limited. There are NO nvi's so you can not change setpoint or even turn the...
Lance,
We have an owner asking us to replace that same company as Chris was replacing. If you were able to send him the tool or info on it, can you share that with us too? Email in my profile....
We always have terminal strips for Lon. Anyone know what the Lon rating entails, maybe gold plated or something?
EBI is a Honeywell branch platform that has drivers for Lon, BACnet, Modbus and others.
We are bidding a job with an existing EMCS. The network area controller is to be a Night Commander II v10 furnished by the owner. Any ever heard of this product? I can't find it here in any...
Hey BACneteers. How specific are your systems requirements for wire type and terminations?
We've done BACnet interfaces to RTUs, etc. with any old shielded wire. But some manufacturers are...
