I have no experince with W-R T-stats but most people on this site do prefer the HW VP 8320 or 8321. The main issue for you is probably that you need a 2-stage stat with your 2 stage...
I have had the same issue.
I got a HW vision Pro 8320 T-Stat, and yes it will start right away in stage 2 if the temp difference is greater than 0.5C.
I use recovery as well even...

will check them out never thought of heatpump I have no idea how they work. I do not think heatpumps are common here.
Thanks again I'm in the early stages of my research. Want to get the second...

Was more looking for model and matching the 2 stage blower not specific size. I have all my data...got blower test and complete HVAC CALC done 6 month ago. I'm aware of the size I need,...

Since you are a Lennox dealer, could you please give me your recommendation as to what would be a good AC to pair with my Lennox G61 36B -70K furnace-blower?
I'm thinking to get an AC...
3CPH is the general opinion of many on this board.
Having said that it does not mean much if furnace is not sized correctly. IMHO
I'm sure I get the efficiency although I do not have more than 2 bills so far. I used 57 therm up until the 10th of february.
That compares to 149 Therms last year. It has been...
When that is true, how come the numbers given by the manufacturers (in my case Lennox) are different?
How can Lennox post false numbers?
Afterall, if you know that the numbers are not...
"Low fire is always less efficient than High fire when it comes to BTUs delivered to the air stream versus gas input."
If that is true, how come that the manufacturers state the opposite?
I'm a little puzzled.
I have a 2 stage high efficiency furnace and my input/output values as provided by manufacturer stating the following.
1st stage input 45,000 BTU's output 43,000 BTU's...
natural gas prices are high...thats for sure, at least for North American standarts. It's about CAD $1.15 per therm here not to bad but I'm also not the average consumer. When I talk to my...
Just a heads up...I have the 1400 cfm version. Installed it on the side of the house brick so no problem there. I suggest (unless they have changed it by now my unit is 6 yrs old) change the spring...
I'm doing well and I like my VP. My system is is running smooth but I had the HVAC pro come back. Had water in the top furnace compartment just a little puddle which left behind a...
I believe that I read on another thread before that in maintenance, stage 2 will kick in if stage 1 is engaged 80% of any given hour. It will then switch back and forth between stage one and two. ...
If wired correctly, it will go straight into second stage during recovery mode if temp difference is >1F.

you mentioned setbacks...if you in recovery mode you do not want to start on low fire (limping along) for the first 10-15 before getting into 2nd stage.
Two stage t-stat for sure will give you...
how are these furnaces marketed here?
Are they claiming 100%+ efficiency are they being installed in the US and/or Canada?
The HVAC pro I talked to said he installs them but the high price does...
It's a ripp off....for sure.
One way for Germany to increase it's natural gas reserves 109% efficient furnaces. hahaha
BTW, lostdude you are an HVAC pro right?
just a few weeks ago when I got quotes for my new furnace here in Canada I bounced it of the HVAC pro, the 100% plus efficiency that is. He explained it but that was well to technicl for me he new...

I did install it myself but I do not recommend it. If you are not absolutly sure what you are doing get a pro to install it.
You could do more harm than good.
You can't get yhe VP 8320 retail in...
top of the line boilers(for radiators)in Germany are over 100% for some time.
1. price...resources in North America are dirt cheap-still. There was very little incentive here...

I'm in TO and it has been very mild so far this winter. Even out here.
I have the G61-70k as well. My home is 2450 sqft and I have had the same concerns you had/have. (I know it can be a...

harl's current t-stat is a 2-stage already. Unless I miss something.
Not sure what harl is looking for maybe just a little more control for the fan.

I have the same furnace as you and I'm using the Honeywell VP8320. It's the T-stat choice of many on this site.
remember we thought that our T-stat needed to be set higher to be comfortable. I now believe that I get away with a lower setting than with my old T-stat. I have my old T-stat over top of...
