well alot of that is because the trane is a positve pressure air handler but in this dry climate its not much of an issue

exactly the thing looks like only tape is holding it together after you tape the crap out of the 4-5 different doors also the doors don't want to close without a fight.

The brown wire is almost always for the fan except on Yorks where there both brown which is stupid imo

nearly all the linesets here are behind drywall so replacing them is not an option not to mention most people wont pay extra for them to be replaced.

I would certainly check the refrigerant charge I always do on a split system no matter what the length of the line set is

I replaced a 3 phase compressor a couple months back ordered the compressor directly from Goodman it had a Bristol and they gave me a Copeland to put back in its place had to redo the piping
