Is this an incorrect assumption: Regarding dust entering home via AC system, is it more likely to be on the return side since the supply side is pressured for supply to rooms?

Sorry when I say balance I me equal number of same size ducts on each side. In other words you wouldnt want 4 8 inch on one side and 3 6 on the other, so to speak.

While up in the attic doing my monthly check of my water heaters I was looking at my 2 ac units and noticed one had more large supply lines on one side while the other appeared to be better balanced....

THanks older 60's home so I am sure you are...
