Love mine. It's one of the least skittish scales I've used. The weight will be displayed without a lot of back and forth, and is very accurate.

The other benefit is that I think (?) it's...

    Got it - thanks!

Been trying to find a 2-stage gas with variable blower in the 40-45k range, but not all manufacturers seem to make them that small. (is the oversizing phenomena that widespread?)...

Thanks for the help again guys.

udarrell, can you explain why you would want a single stage furnace with a swing t-stat - I thought this whole 2 stage/modulating furnace movement was all about...

If you don't include the 2 outside walls, then shouldn't the 2 inside walls be included? If so, what input should be used on the calculator?

    Hmmm.. I'll ponder this.

40k may be enough for most of the year, as long as the basement thing doesn't throw everything off too far.
I'm just really leery of oversizing, thinking that a 60k is...

Alright guys, about ready to lay down the cash for the unit. Would you go with 40k or 60k?

What I meant is that I input the new floor numbers into the calculator per Gary's post, and that changed the requirements from about 41k, to 47k. (having part of the floor on slab, the rest on crawl...

Ok, plugged the numbers in and bumped the load up 6k to about 47,000 BTU's.

60K furnace looks like the way to go!

EDIT: Actually I'm smack dab in between a 40 and 60k furnace.
