There are only three of these vents. So 3 times 104 is 312 sq feet of attic. ...
All this argueing over ventilation an Pv's. All I want to know is giving the pic I posted, are three of theses enough to keep a 1500-1700 foot attic cool with sofet vent's all the way...

Hey John I am having a similar problem with a carrier system not cooling my house. It isn't an infinity system though. Who built your house?
What was the number you used to call carrier?
Get this they used R11 or R13 insulation in the walls. The also didn't use a radiant heat barrier on the roof. I told the builder about the loss of cooling capacity in the ducts.
He said .......
I have a 1500 Square foot house. The wall's have R13 in them. Home much Heat gain around would R19 save.

I appreciate it. Being that the actual square footage is 1500 square feet, all my reading on the board, and research I agree with you that 2.5 is ok. Man I...
Here is everything from my measurements I took today.
House is 1500 square feet.
House faces West
Square footage of windows (double pain not that thick)

the problem is the ac can't even get the house to 75 on a 95 degree day. Aslo just to keep it at 80 it pretty much has to run the whole day.
1733 square feet, carrier 2.5 ton, live in Texas
Tech has been out and ac is working fine. Just seems like it has to run all day. Plus it will not get the house to 72-75 on a 95 degree day
The temps I took were with the ac running for a long time.
Ultratec I believe what you are saying is on the right track!
I think the damb builder skimped on the system to save money. The ac...
Tech said he had to add a little freon this time. Said he took out too much.
My conclusion to the whole mess
The AC unit is working properly
tech is coming over today. I will have to let everyone know what he say's.
