  3. Thanx for the Advice about my AH @ work

Our school system HVAC came by and opened up the AH. And said "hmmmm I'll BET its been blowing humid air"

He put it on his vast work order for next week

Thanx Been and Dash and Robo (i think)...
  4. Thanx Dash

I'm glad to see there's just a few ppl here that can't do the reading comprehension thing and then get the panties in a wad over something not said.

Thing has worked but its also cost us more...
  5. So much for reading comprehension.

Guess those munchies kinda interfere with that, right?
  6. That's me

    when my word is disputed
  7. Lets start.

The ducts are a maze of bad angles and strange bends, that's not me-that's 2 techs I've had out since I fired my installer from all work on my system. The only part that could be salvaged would be...
  8. Never said anything about anyone coming back to fix

anything free. Gee some of you read alot into stuff. But I know the general contractor pretty well, like to give him some input on his sub.

    Dang!
  9. Really have no idea

but the sub and the general said it was an "offshoot of Lennox" So I'm guessin', yes.
  10. Ah, that shipped has sailed

but he came back and serviced it for a number of years and failed to find his own mistakes. Took someone alot more competent to find them
  11. So, who's to blame? Head Contractor or HVAC Subcontractor

I've made few bones about that I like my Lennox/Armstrong straight A/C but the installation blew and swallowed.

We hired the building of our house in the summer of 1993. Ultimately should the...

    I thinkin' the ducts suck

I've had 2 ppl to tell me that, in similar words. Hodgepodge of weird angles. The only part that would be saved is the trunk of the ducts.

Thanx once again Mr HVAC Installer from 1993 w/the kinky...

There are pleated filters that aren't that restrictive

Beenthere told me that if the pleats have a sharp angle from the apex to the bottom of the pleat, its too restrictive. I'd look at Lowe's, HD for filters. Also, one of the guys on here suggested...

The better half is about ready to throw a hammer into our Armstrong. Told her that'd be even noisier-didn't go over well.

Our local utility's financial promo goes out

end of September, so yeah, I'll be watching for those rebates.

Lennox, Amana, and York seem to have strong rebates

    Trane's & AS are OK

Rheem/Ruud's seem weak, Twili could correct me about...

Is there anything I can do about this?

At my work (large high school) 2 conjoining rooms share a common A/C / furnace. The A/C is a 4T Trane (last of the R-22's and we got it on the cheap) and it was installed in April. The previous unit...

  35. This makes quality of installation all the more important

We use NP 12 MERV. Small loss of pressure, great filtration. They filter so well, we have to change out about every 3-4 weeks-filthy.
