    OH GREAT! NOW WHAT?

    The furnace (Lennox g61mpv) is super loud when used in tandem with the heat pump - though the outdoor unit is not loud outside. It is almost unbearably loud if I am near the upstairs return air vent....

    Does the heatpump use electricity even if it's shut out & I am using the furnace instead? Or is it literally 'OFF?' With an a/c I assume it is not 'ON' till you use it to cool.
