XC14 is from the Elite (mid) line. Look at the SL280V furnace.
I generally use the eccentric termination kit. Only one wall penetration. I would agree that a nice air cleaner would have been a nice add on to that G71. Also, I don't see a vent tee on the furnace...
I don't think that Lennox match up you listed will make the tax credit either. Looks like 17.2 SEER and 12.70 EER.
Amazing isn't it? Scales certified by the federal government is required for selling hamburger, but not for refrigerant that sells for 10-20 times the per pound cost.
I use a digital scale anytime...

Looked like old info to me as soon as I opened the doc.
Call the installing contractor and ask if there were trunk dampers installed.
Thanks for the clarification. This coil # doesn't exist however, and the SEER rating still isn't 19 even with a matched coil as the OP believes. I think a little more homework is in order.
The coil model # makes no sense. I don't believe it's 19 SEER. Otherwise I do believe the XP19 and G71 MPP would make an excellent system.
Make the call. The sooner the better. Refrigeration systems absolutely hate being left open to the atmosphere. And DONT start the system until the repair is made.
Merit and Elite products now qualify for free extended parts warranties through 10 yrs. 7/8 vapor line on all R410A systems? Haven't heard of this.
14acx is builder grade not very quiet. XC13 and XC14 are both from the elite line and more quiet than the 14acx but not extremely quiet. XC15 is a very quiet unit and comes from the Dave Lennox...
There is a fitting made that I've seen that is a flat offset with round going in and coming out on the opposite end app.12" or so long that puts it past the dryer.
Call and discuss with the two your concerns. Too often customers are concerned about stepping on toes or hurting feelings. I'm sure they are both professionals and won't mind validating their...
Get referrals from friends and family. The professionals doing this work have tested, installed, repaired 1,000's more systems than CR.
I like the XP15 for quiet operation as well as the warranties. If I were in the market for 2 stage I would choose the XP19 over the XP16.
Sounds like you need to have it checked (best by someone else). If the balance point is set at 34, it should never see pressures low enough under normal operation to trip the LP switch. I still like...
Maybe he replaced a defective part and wants to bench test the part he removed. Is the system operating properly now?
Call your local building inspectors office and pose the question to them.
Auto setting allows the system to switch between heating and cooling without you changing the setting to 'heat' or 'cool'. Set them both at a temperature that is comfortable to you. The deadband...
The horizontal drain pan should have been removed per the installation instructions if the unit was installed in the upflow position. Mold loves growing in those locations. Possibly have the air flow...
No rebates on XC13 that I know of, but ask your contractor about the tax credits on qualifying systems.
That's not PVC pipe. It's a single wall vent connector (painted white) that's connected to a type B common vent. Your clearances are not allowable with single wall pipe. The single wall should be...
Those numbers look correct for zone IV.
Any tech you call can tell you if something is missing. They have access to all the parts. They won't tell you there's nothing they can do without parts being returned etc.
You will be told soon...
Ahhh it's a vehicle for that lovely drug nicotine. Just shows how powerful it is. And to think the tobacco industry spent years learning how to tweak it to keep people hooked on their product....
Have you read up on them yet? http://yourhome.honeywell.com/Consumer/Cultures/en-US/Products/Humidifiers/Humidifiers/Professionally-Installed/Steam/Default.htm My main attraction is the steam and...
I almost hurled! F100 media filters needed to be changed every 30 days.
Have the same setup going in next week. Going with the TrueSteam, IAQ stat and VS AH.
Don't think they need or want a gas furnace in south Florida.
Were you happy with the SpacePak system? If so, why not go with a new one?
Honest truth. I've seen mucus growing on evaporator coils of heavy smokers. :(
I would think the ARI certificate should suffice. I'd be surprised it it wouldn't. It can be printed from their site.
Besides, wasn't he mentioning wholesale prices on 30# cylinders? Info the public should not be privy to.
And topping off is not a crime, but I agree, you should be careful what you lead customers...
That frost pattern isn't normal. At 17 deg. the outside air is usually very dry. Normal frost patterns would tend to be an even coverage of frost from top to bottom. If it is even but heavy, it...
I was surprised recently when I checked on the price to find that it was exactly the same as it was several months ago from this one particular wholesaler. Maybe they are keeping it there until that...
Except he does have dual fuel.
I wouldn't mind doing all that work but I really don't think they would want to pay me what I think it's worth.
Yes, if it is 95% or above 94.9% won't do it.
Very many boilers in MB lentz? What area? Myrtle Beach common? I love the area down there. Played a few rounds and spent some time down there on many occasions. My favorite beach destination.
Seems to make sense to abandon the domestic coil and go with a water heater. I have always refused to attempt removing the coil when the bolts were extremely rusted.
Mostly performance. If low enough to impact performance then service access would be affected as well. IOW if it is high enough that performance is not affected, service access should not be an issue.
If you are blowing the LV fuse, check the press. sw. leads at the outdoor unit for chafing.
If you were to read line voltage to a lamp holder with the switch on, you would read app. 120 volts even if there was no bulb there. The circuit is open with the bulb missing but the power is still...
I agree with 6' also. The higher the better. You don't want air being recirculated.
Their procedure sounds more like going in the yard and setting the house on fire too, because it's time for them to buy a new one.
That procedure sounds a lot like what we call vandalism here.
I always weigh any refrigerant that enters the system. If I find later that it was a txv or restriction, I know exactly how much I added and how much I may potentially have to recover.
Lennox G71MPP is variable capacity from 40-100 in 1% increments.
