I have never attended any of their training, but I have passed all of the tests. I would say the work is dirty, but I do enjoy it.

I would stick with what the manufacturer sells. That hood has a UL listing. I don't think NM goes by that code.

I agree with the family only approach. I have done a few things for FRIENDS, but if they send anyone else to me I say no.

The unit should shut down 7-10 seconds after coming into contact with ice. Probably losing it's charge or it may just need to be adjusted.
