But in my case where I put one in the cooling liguid line in winter, the txv is not being filtered at inlet thus putting it in jeopardy until cooling season, I'm surprised they don't make it...

It is so much easier on these particular units to put them in the inlet in heating. Obviously in summer it should be installed on other side but would you, even if it required relocating the txv....

Have had very bad luck with small Tecumseh compressors. 2 that wouldn't start were locked up out of the box.

Is one unit pumping back into the other unit? Study your lines make sure there are check valves and it is all flowing the same way.

We have great luck getting water furnace parts. But even my self (technician) would find a quick way not to find the part on friday of a holiday weekend. Minimum 4 hour job.
