    Return air

That is a good point given the fact that the drop is close to my water heater. I did have it on my old sytem for many years (15) and it never presented a problem, where all still alive, no CO issues....

    Return Air

What would be the pros and cons of adding a supply register to the return air drop at the furnace and what season would it be best or not?

    Thanks,

I'm also curious to know how the furnace knows to use a lower blower speed or a higher one when the condenser is a single stage unit as mine is. Carrier 24ACC Comfort series.

    Thanks,

At what point should the blower be running at high speed? When I first started running the AC (about a week now) it seemed that the blower was running at high speed more often, but the last couple of...

    AC

I'm getting quotes for a new furnace and AC system in my house. One guy said he could give me a 16 SEER 2 ton condenser with a 2.5 ton coil. Is this possible with today's units?

Is ductboard a good alternative rather then tin for an evaporator housing? What are the pro's and con's ?
