I haven't heard of this in my area yet?
and some Lennox units were.
Where I live now I have hundreds of units that I know for a fact were installed by soldering lines and opening the valves. No purge and no vacuum pulled. From 1996 to 2004 this was the normal...
Had that problem when I bought my house. Pulled carpet and padding.
Used killz to seal floor in corners where cat had peed before having new padding and carpet installed.
I hate cats....
#3 rheem, ruud.
I agree pressure related. I've never had that happen with yj hoses yet. I'll have to remember to ease pressure before removing in the future.
Hopefully you will have better luck. I'm down three o rings and 3 gaskets. Bought 2 sets I believe last spring and just opened up new ones this spring. Looking for receipt to see where I bought them...
That info is for the kobra hoses which I haven't used before. I'm hoping they will be good hoses based on Chuckcrj's comments..
That sounds like it would work cause they never pop on r22 just 410a systems I am checking.
Just bugs me I spent more money for "better" hoses and now I have issues I never had before.
Here's what they say:
SET OF THREE 36" (91 CM) KOBRA HIGH PRESSURE HOSE CLBV SERIES. CLBV SERIES FEATURES A BALL VALVE FITTING AT THE END THAT OPENS TO FULL FLOW. AUTOMATICALLY TRAPS REFRIGERANT...
says made in USA. :(
Yeah that sucks. As soon as my Kobra with ball valves come in I'm gonna retire them to back up hoses.
The gasket even fell out of the gauge end of the hose and I can't get a 1/4 inch from yj to fit...
I've had the short hose with shut off on it to add to regular hoses but one started leaking. Haven't tried just a ball valve yet.
I ordered jb kobra hoses to try but still waiting for them since...
not sure either.
I know this is an option but don't think I should have to.
I had them in the past. My red one started leaking. I have new ones on order since 6/8/13. still waiting. grrr
My nrp hoses list r410a right on them.
I have 2 sets of hoses with the low loss ends. When working on R410A systems when I disconnect the high side with system running it comes off with a loud pop. Every once in awhile it blows the o...

Tons here also. I don't mind them nice easy calls especially last one in the evening when you're dragging.
Yup, Its that time of year for earwigs. Not nearly as bad here yet, I think due to lack of rain.
Yes, But I still check them on every call. If I find one out of range by more than 10 percent we recommend replacing. A lot of times people say go ahead and change it. I've never changed a weak one...
We like the 521's, easy to install and no failures that I know of.
I don't mind paying a little more for a reliable product and we mark it up to sell to customer anyways.

Leak lok and tighten cap down.
We seen the same thing with the Goodman valves, lost charge over winter through service caps. Had to backseat them properly and leak lock caps on service valves, no more problems. Newer ones came...
Looks great.
Do you guys paint your gas piping outside to prevent rust?
Looks good to me. Is the drywell code out there or just something you do on your own?
Yikes. Was that really in the house? I hope those aren't 12 inch tiles.

I've been involved in both flat rate and the old outdated T&M pricing. I worked for a utility company that used flat rate and calculated there true costs. The prices "seemed" outrageous to us but the...
