Customer tells me that her zoning has never worked right and the last guy said it will never work right the way it was set up. I told her I agree, but we can fix it. Lol

This was a fun job. 2 water to water units 1 water to air, and a chilled water fan coil(not pictured). I got to design the piping and controls. In floor heating, chilled water to the fan...
Saw this today. Had a good laugh. Good thing I didn't have to access the coil.661061661071661081

Romex through the right side of furnace, out the left side, then back in with no Romex connectors. And the gas flex through the cabinet is awesome!!!634731

I actually had to replace the gas valve on it! Wasn't fun!

Agreed!!

My thoughts exactly!!! I've seen them spilling at seams, but nothing like this!!

They only called to have it checked, because the homeowner is older and can't get around too well these days!

This is not shame against the 64 year old furnace. It's shame because this is why most homeowners shouldn't service their own equipment! 630221630231630241630251

Furnace installed 9 years ago in a crawlspace! Support in front of the burner door, and flex return in front of the burner door!630181630191630201630211

The guy who replaced it was on the roof with me. Compressor was changed, and that was it. And 2 out of 3 poles on the contactor were cooked too. Didn't get a picture of that.

Compressor was replaced 4 days ago... And guess what wasn't replaced?.. And definitely no nitro purge!615711

I've actually seen this multiple times. Never tried it myself. But I've heard about and seen it many times for coil repairs

2 year

I was told that's exactly what happened. Home owner bought unit himself, and that was as far as the lineset reached

Yup

Got there late in the day today. So just recovered and got it out of crawlspace. Going back to install outside tomorrow

Got a call from a customer who is selling their house, and a home inspector said the outdoor unit for the mini split on their addition needs to be relocated. We get there, and guess where we find the...
Lol. It's to get some "cooling" to the other side of the cooler

Went to startup a walk-in at at produce shop that only runs a few months out of the year. First I see these awesome evaporative cooler installs. Then the very level condenser. Then the nice job of...
Went to look at a hunting ranch to quote maintenance on all heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment. Went into one of the buildings and saw these 2 heaters. And they've been like this for 7 or 8...
I believe the manual called for 7-12 inch spacing on the tees. And those are spaced 9 inches. And I don't think we're supposed to discuss pricing on here, but let's just say it was a big job since we...
I'm not crazy about how the condensate came out either, but it is internally trapped so no flue gases can escape. And we questioned the riser for the relief too, the boiler came with the 30" nipple...
Which piece?.... I think I know which one
I hate the blue carpet
556621556631I forgot to post the before pictures. This is what used to be there
Thanks!
Thanks!
The boiler came with a stick of gray cpvc and they want the full length of it used before going to PVC.
I don't usually do much with these installs. But this one was fun. I did all the controls and helped design the piping. 555791555801
I think its an infinity greenspeed. If it is, that's a suction line muffler. They ship them with the greenspeed
Saw this at our own shop today. Been there 3 years and never noticed it. Made me laugh!
So I got the rest of the story. He tied the old return and supply ductwork together to the return of the furnace, thinking it was an upflow, hoping to run supply air through all ductwork. Haha
I think it still is. And the old return is connected to the newer furnace. Not a great picture
Its a downflow furnace sitting on plywood, with the side of the hx cabinet cut out. Air has no where to go
A buddy sent this to me yesterday. This is what he walked up to on a service call. HO bought the furnace at habitat, and installed it. Then could not figure out why it wouldn't heat his house.
It was. Customer got a new furnace for almost nothing!
Get a call from a new customer for a furnace problem. 9 year old infinity. Find out that last heating season, previous company had been out repeatedly for repairs on it. Customer shows me their...
515591 reminded me of this grasslin I found a few months ago!
I had a call at a taco bell for a plugged condensate line on an ice machine in the dining area. I decided to just blow it out. It was also tied into the soda machine drain lines. Black sludge shot...
