2 severe T'storms in an hour, power blinked but didn't go off. Fan runs, outside compressor does not turn on. A/C ran great until storms came thru. Flip the main power switch to outside...

The consensus on the max MERV 1" filter from most pros is a MERV 8. I''ve followed this religiously w/my filter purchases for my Amana ASZ 18 HP.

Now, I'm considering moving up the filter grilles...

We WILL begin using the vents for this summer. And yes, the vent to the outside fans were on my list for the next project for the home next spring. Still thanx alot

We don't use the bath vents b/c they're vented directly into the attic and not to the outside of the home.

I think you might be onto something Shophound. Now, my HP does remove a ton of water from the air. There's a 3 gal bucket it drips into outdoors. On warm but dry days the bucket remains relatively...

I run most time in: Hold Temp
Never run the fan unless its dead of winter or cool, dry fall day.

It feels nice when the RH outdoors is low and it keeps a little air moving through the house....

I have a cheap-ass White-Rodgers, that screws up input settings when I go: Run Program. I really really hate the T-stat. I tells me nothing than temp, filter progress, and "energy" usage. BS

My T-stat has no humidity settings whatsoever, I doubt if it has on-demand dehumidyfiying

More good info, that's sounds reasonable. Yes, humidity is well controlled so it might work for a 70* setback at bedtime, instead of 67*. That being said, we rarely run the heat in the winter, even...

4) We participated in a TVA program and took care of 95% of air intrusions

White Rodgers T-stat

When I run the "Run Program" menu, I set the button for "Hold Temp" through the 4 time slots.

EVERY single time, during the 2nd or 3rd time slot the "Run Fan" always comes...

perhaps this might help someone else too.

Gonna wash the house's siding w/bleach this summer. Problem: compressor is right on the drip line.
