Hi Joe, it is not actually a schrader valve that is in the can. There is a scoop in the water stream that collects the air. When enough air has been collected, the float releases the air through the...

I am working on a Lennox FP and the complaint is that the FP goes out after 20 minutes or so. Sure enough, I turn it on and read the paper, 20 min or so later off it goes. I hit the wall switch and...

Does any one know where I can get a TC for a Lennox FP. I tried my local supplier but all they have for a FP thermocouple has ridges that wont allow it to go into the pilot assembly.

    Do not use it

The problem with using a water pex is, that it is lacking an oxygen barrier. As a system ages, the oxygen in the system depletes. That is why the water becomes what is known as "dead water". A number...

  10. Adjust the water feeder

If you have an automatic water feeder, you can adjust that down. You really only need around 12psi. One psi will lift water 2.31 feet-at least those are the numbers I remember. at 30 psi you would be...

    Use a condensate pump

Drain into condensate pump, when filled it will pump it out under pressure. Then continue to cycle same way. I use this whenever I run into a condensate freezing issue. Pump corrects it every time.

  14. BTU's

138,000 btu's for one gallon of oil, 92,000 for one gallon of propane.

Even at 70 percent efficient on oil, you still get more heat than with propane.

My advice, stick with oil, put the money...
