if it is only 8 months old it should still be under warranty. get a new compressor then fix what took it out.

even oem's rebuild their compressors thats why their is a core charge on most of them. they want them back.

put a simple stat like a honeywell 1029 to dissable the condenser when it reaches whatever temp you set it to. when it warms up you'll have a/c again.
