Sounds like something isn't bringing on heat strips during defrost.
I doubt it's the nest.
Again, we don't provide DIY advice here.
Your not moving enough water. 72* return is stupid anyways. Your temp drop is insanely high.
Imagine your heat moving through the slab. Lets say your not moving that fast. Slab is gonna suck the...
Its cold outside! Mods to busy ;).
Trigger, we don't provide the type of information you seek.
Awhile ago, I used to work for a company that had 2 vans.
We had one van that was full lettered, all new homes.
Other van had a huge magnet that the owner drove. If he ever went into KY, he'd...
Had a 60 year old lady tell me that "age is just a number".
Had a yoga girl hit on my HARD. As in practically begging for my number. Gave her the company number. Asked again for mine....
It will still work.
Keep in mind, the heat pump will not generate heat at the same capacity, or same efficiency the colder it gets.
Meaning if you ran your math at 40* ambient, you may find it...
The purpose of this forum is for professionals to give non-DIY advice to customers asking general questions, and safety related issues.
Such as our advice that your smelling the CO...
I just put A/C renew into a system. It absolutely looks like it.
CO, not CO2.
CO is odorless. The flue gases from a water heater are not. Meaning you can be smelling flue gas.
CO detectors are worthless for low level CO poisoning. They won't go off until you...
Probably took out a 100k 80%. Meaning 80k btu.
Replaced it with a 115k, 95%,. Meaning 110k btu.
Meaning your 30k bigger than before.
That, or the hole you cut in the return is backdrafting...
Thats the filter in the goodman airhandler, not a external rack.
The air handler is 23" wide, 20" deep.
Meaning with the setup you have, you'd need to use the actual 23x20x1.
You're probably airlocked.
A tank is a pretty big vessel of air. Pretty hard to purge.
When you choose your pump, did you calculate in a 25% loss in flow due to the glycol?
What % mix are you...
I keep saying that I want you to replace our guy in cincy.
Heh. honestly, I can't figure out who neat freaks is. Hit me up later.
The Maynards are the old owners of willis, back in the day. Used to do all Lucky homes. Sold willis, started maynard heating and cooling, sold that, started indoor air. Never found out what their up...
Ahh, one of them northern boys.
2J having a decent class is a joke. lol.
Same with Johnstone University.
I recently sat down with Pat linhardt. Little private class for the...
I've noticed that too. Probably their new homes division.
The 3 of us with have to meet up at 2-J someday.
Funny question, something I've noticed in our area.
When you started in the...
I thought they joined up with those big yellow vans, who was my other guess.
message me the answer.
I get this eerie feeling, that the closet looks familure....
I wonder what color AC Renew is?
I just had climatemaster tell me that they (climatemaster) are putting AC renew in all their units in the factory, and will be for the next few months.
Oil fired? Remove it yesterday.
Yes. What kind of thermostat do you have now?
Some furnaces require you use their thermostat.
It may take some special wiring/configuration to setup the system to use a more basic thermostat.
I'm with BL on this.
The amount of filtration, even on a well systems is insane.
I can't even imagine an open loop lake.
The thermostat/board was probably a long shot guess.
Doesn't matter if the compressor is pumping or not, you need a new one now.
Just noticed, this is your second thread on the same topic.
There is most likely a simple solution to this, but I don't want to comment until I see a picture of the furnace, the fitting, and a wide angle picture.
Worried about giving your incorrect advise.
Sorry, we don't help with DIY.
Not just that. Lets run a situation.
"multi-brand dealer" decides to sell a mix of goodman, carrier, trane, armstrong.
How many inducer motors do you need to stock?
Shutting down flow with the pump running causing bumping.
You've got a mess. Time to find a specialist.
I agree, what a bunch of morons.
Is it possible, to pull the coil, lift it up so the lineset is above the blower, then pull the blower?
I've done that once or twice.
We wouldn't install your part.
As said before, don't try this at home.
Or do, whatever.
I hate part (only) warranty anyways. Homeowner installs get no warranty. Better profit that way.
1. I doubt you need 1 1/8th.
2. I doubt you need a system, that would need 1 1/8th.
3. I doubt you should be installing this system.
When you bought it off the internet, did they explain it has...
I'm just dreaming of air conditioning season.
Go with the heat pump.
Even if the place isn't setup for "perfect" heating, your still going to be dumping heat into the space at a 1/3 of the cost of your baseboards.
BTW, you see those holes...
I think the question, is why is range of acceptable temp rise a 30* range.
How come the range isn't 45-65 (20* range)
Put that time delay on.
It's important enough, that goodman made an entire kit dedicated to upgrading older models that didn't come equipped with the delay.
For reasons as loonie said.
Baldy, come on!
Amana uses an all stainless, primary and secondary, tubular HX.
Older models did have issues with the primary/secondary joint, because the joint where the primary tubes entered...
DIY DIY DIY.
This is turning into a joke.
You probably don't need a new coil.
Hacking up a unit and "bolting it up" to a furnace is a joke.
There a simple process for installing an uncased...
The preheater only comes on during low temps.
The preheater keeps the compressor warm during the off cycle, creating easier starts.
Doesn't matter what the increased cost is, it needs to be turned...
I recommend this thread be locked to DIY.
It absolutely will increase your energy bill.
It will make it last longer, and should be turned on in any area that gets cold.
You need a contractor. All gas furnaces have flues.
Dimensions of the coil mean nothing for a contractor. Easy fix.
You may be able to reuse the coil, depending on the application.
I'm very confused at what your trying to do.
You need a new furnace. You can use the existing coil. Need a new stat. Done and done.
Your air handler can't be "converted".
Ran for two days, and then failed again?
Time to find a different tech. There's something basic he's missing, and jumped to the board.
Sounds like your all setup.
Sounds like you have more of a duct issue.
Looks big enough to me for you to have a heat kit in it. You probably do.
More than likely, the installer didn't mark the panel with which heat kit he installed.
Take a picture of the high voltage wiring going into the furnace. Don't take any doors off.
