H-10 is the gold standard of the industry. It has never let me down. If it says there is a leak. Then there is a leak. I too like to visually verify but I have learned to never doubt my trusty friend.

Im not familiar with that particular leak detector. On the H-10 the low, med, and high reference the leak rate not the sensitivity. So the Low setting would be most sensitive setting.

Yes put a few oz of r22 gas in the system. Then fill to a good pressure with nitrogen. If you have a H-10 try searching on Medium first and if that does not come up with anything switch it to low.
