AC fan runs without compressor ??
Carrier AC.
Does the fan AND the compressor run at same time? Our fan runs w/out cold output in the house. Outside, we hear the compressor (?) kick in---a separate hum-like noise.

I removed the two mesh filter screens that are...
I removed the two mesh filter screens that are part of the Electronic Filter; kept thermostat at 69 to 70. Early evening the same problem occurred.

Sounds like a 1" would be a good 'fail safe'...

Everyone: the EAC is fixed. It was bent fin almost touching the wire.
The thought of dust and dirt passing through this mechanical filter and into the exchanger is troublesome.

'5 Seasons' ElectronicAirFilter: Constant buzzing

Today, the dealer said the same about the thermal...
Today, the dealer said the same about the thermal as being an "intregal part" of the system and can't be replaced. Compressor is under warranty. Just paying for the labor and Freon.

Can the 'thermo switch(?)' be replaced? If the Freon is 'flooding back' , does that mean it IS the compressor. Or, could the 'thermo switch(?)' just be replaced?
