I removed the two mesh filter screens that are part of the Electronic Filter; kept thermostat at 69 to 70. Early evening the same problem occurred.

The RH inside at 7 am is 60; 62% outside

Using electronic airfilter....it's cleaned. Will remove the 2 metal screen/filters and see what happens.

Sounds like a 1" would be a good 'fail safe' measure to help keep things cleaner.

So can I insert a media filter now AND keep using the EAC cells? Or is that too much air flow restriction

Everyone: the EAC is fixed. It was bent fin almost touching the wire.

The thought of dust and dirt passing through this mechanical filter and into the exchanger is troublesome.

David and All: Ok. I talked direct to mfg. I have 2 'cells'. We determined which one was 'defective.' I sent them pix. At this point it could be:

8 month old system. Model P102 14A . Cleaned filters. Dried completely and returned filters to unit. Turned on unit but now makes a constant buzzing sound.

Today, the dealer said the same about the thermal as being an "intregal part" of the system and can't be replaced. Compressor is under warranty. Just paying for the labor and Freon.

Can the 'thermo switch(?)' be replaced? If the Freon is 'flooding back' , does that mean it IS the compressor. Or, could the 'thermo switch(?)' just be replaced?
