I've found out that you have wait until the next cycle starts after making the configuration change to realize the new setting such as MAX or EFFICIENT AC airflow as it will not change 'on the fly'

The new carrier is a 3 ton 24APA736 with a 4 ton coil. The installer is now recommending upgrading to a 4 ton outside unit post install.
