Yes but when you throw air flow into the mix things happen. We have all seen the condensate drain that acts up until you throw a trap in it. I think the same thing was happening on that Ruud 90 I...

It's the erratic ones you don't find till you (hopefully) can start tracing the thermostat and 24v condenser wiring.
I have a few that come to mind.

T87 and Q539 on wall paper with metallic...

    Armstrong 80 question.

It's an Armstrong GUJ150D20-1B. The place had just enough water last summer to submerge the ignition control board and the fan board. I replaced both boards (OEM) and began running through various...

I agree with your sentiment but can't bring myself to call this a mistake. Generally a mistake is NOT knowing you are doing something the wrong way.

    More DYI follies

Once in a blue moon you run across a water heater where the hot/cold are reversed. It's a fairly simple task to switch the dip tube from the cold to the hot and install the tank. If you do not know...

Don't you love that? Especially when they don't tell you about the packed solid filter they yanked. I think they run down and do it so they won't be embarrassed and I can't tell you how many times I...
