I had a Testo 550 set with the wired clamps. The wires are as thin as hair and the plugs stuck out the side of the manifold like sore thumbs.

I remember the 1/4" copper tubing they used on the package units with the flared out copper in front of the outdoor motor shaft...which vacuum initiated defrost..... that stuff took knowledge and...

crimp the liquid line about 3 inches up in the line chase cover ..... or 3 inches down in the poly pipe if lines go underground....:)

Sounds to me like they are trying to take the easy way out ....First I would get a heat load calculation done on the home to determine the propper size unit needed and then size duct work...

We only recommend poly-foam filters....There is a company in FL that we use called Air-Sponge....They are the best filter money can buy...

Sounds to me like TXV definitley has issues....also possibly an inefficient compressor.... What was the ampdraw on the compressor?
I guarantee you that Goodman condenser coil will outlast anything manufactured out there today.....All that is made today is plain JUNK!!!

It is all about the installation....I installed my Goodman system back in 2004....Haven't had a problem yet.
Previous owner of the home had the Rheem system changed back in 1992...Never cooled...
