I guess it depends on the unit. I've seen units with the same solenoid valve that are over 20 yr old and some that are replaced every couple years.

I would call traulsen tech sup with mod and s/n of unit to verify what compressor needs to be there and what refrigerant they recomend. I normally will use mp 39 with good success.

Mine is only a couple weeks old , i try to pull it away from the wall when i do rope it up. That was a concern of mine since the bag was pricey. Will see how long it lasts before i tear it up.

So true about lugging 1/2 of your van on the roof right from the edge by your self. You have to force yourself to get used to the hieghts.It's part of the trade.Are you afraid of hieghts ?
