the only thing that a bin control will do is enable you to regulate the ice level in the bin, that it, as icemeister said "you still need functional eyes." for the unit to operate they way... -

i 'll take it its installed in the kitchen? i ve had a similar problem with a cme1356 for a few yrs, i found that using ice(slime )guards helped a great deal, stopped getting the "we got no ice"...
