High motor temp will not make the bearing damage becase the motoe will damage first. if the bearing temp too high. The chiller will shutdown by the alarm of high bearing temp!

Yes surage very let the thrust damage, Somtimes if filled too much refrigerant also will have the same result!

If it is a PIC2 control system. You can disable this function at the ISM setup page!

Your control system should be PIC1, not PIC2 by the system have the PSIO, LID and SMM moulde. Is it the alarm history showed POWER LOST? If yes, the problem is come from the SMM. I can repair it....

Please advise all the ISM settings!
