the warranty played a big role. but everyone i talked to one here and off said rheem was a better brand and the cost was lower. but yes the warranty was a factor as well.

we went with rheem thanks for all your comments. the rheem came with a 10 year parts and labor warranty and the carrier had a 5 year.

does anyone know anything about ducane heat pumps? in kentucky should i opt. for furance over heat pump? any advice will help thank you.
