Yes, the inrush currant of a coil is much like a motor, 5 to 6 times that of operating currant. A transformer can be sized to small if many loads come on at the same time. If the loads are staggard a...

    Refrigerant level

As the coil temperature drops the specific volume of the gas increases, this causes less pounds per minute to be circulated by the fixed volume of the compressor. The mass flow- refrigeration effect...

Your reasons all are sound, but I have replaced maybe 5 heat exchangers in 25 years and if it is common occurance on your units it may be a design issue. Most failures I have seen are on the U bends...

I know a lot of guys like those analog type vacume gages, but I never could trust them. The pressure changes with any type of movement of the thermistor. I have gone to a micron gauge and put it...

    Time will tell

There in lies the rub i have not seen the this system run in all possible conditions. Thanks for your interest though as this unit has been the most challanging thermodynamic system I have worked on...
  13. The basics

Oil anaylsis, cut the oil filter apart, vibration anaylsis, check thrust if applicable.

    Static

Static pressure should be at its higest at the fan exist and at its lowest at the end of the run, this is due to friction loss through the duct. The duct internal area and the number of exits need...

    Is it dripping and tripping?

Is the oil on the floore from the drip, or is the real problem the oil trip. Does it drip befour it trips. Is there oil in the compressor. Define the "high pressure valve" and why is it restricted.

A 27 degree delta T across the evaporator is a problem. Air flow sounds low, check the fan amperage and compare to the other units that are running ok pressures. Depending on the coil arrangement,...

Sounds like you have no static pressure. Too many openings or too many air exits to allow for static pressure to build up and push the air out of the closest registors. Close down some of the dampers...
