Did you install an adjustable TX?

If it were me, id keep trickling the gas in there until you hit 0-1* superheat or a solid column of liquid to the TX.
Your valve isn't going to meter correctly...

That system isn't wired correctly, and the 12ga wire isn't "factory".
Call out a competent technician who can sort that out for you and install your thermostat.
