Carrier and Bryant are both made by Carrier. the model number on the Carrier tstat would almost be the same.

look at Carrier's 2 stage R410a heat pump. it's rated at 17 seer.Puron is the way to go.Also use the Carrier Fe4 air handler with the Infinty Control. It's the best system on the market today.
if the pilot is lighting but not the main flame, I would have a tendancy to look at the flame sensor.
But my best advice is to call a technician to look at it.
It could be cheaper in the long run.
the only thing that I would add to this is that if you are turning the temperature up and down through out the day and night on these different levels, it is costing you more money to recover these...
