    I agree that proper knot tying knowledge is critical when life or expensive equipment is hanging on it. I'm a knot freak myself, so I am very confident in my tying.

    Not much of a concern for our intended use. A good rope will have a breaking strength of at least 5000 pounds. Even if the knot reduced the strength by 75% you would still have 1250 lb....
