VTP99, since surviving a bear attack, everything else is pretty much a stroll in the woods!
On-job errors covered by my techs were imbearassing.
Here's hoping fellow HVAC'ers south of the 49th have a great 4th of July.
Also hoping Captain C's beer cans are suction line cold!
Yes, way, way south on the bald prairie.
Use the correct capacitor to get the proper phase shift for starting.
The HS 210 is not for your 1/3hp comp either, I believe.
Speaking of loss... there's a MUA up here somewhere...
glad this is way out of my area.
"Very first thing you do is add two ft insulation to these sunken roofs".
Stak-ons are good for 90's, straights, gays, and bad attitudes.
Take some Slow-blow fuses with you.
I notice that you have 3 inductive loads that come on that ckt.
Until the laminate core pulls in on a contactor, there's very reactance to the current flow.
So my taking sc reading at outlet of receiver should give me results similar to torching, right?
I think in our colder clime, rec is nowhere full at this sc reading.
Jamanaa, the push-pull ckt was the choice of the build it yourselfers... from punching the chassis up thru picking your tubes to selecting your bias curve points.
But now, IRBH!
Thanks, Icemeister, got the info from your link.
The key numbers from my model was 002,
19.9Kbtu @ 20f, 29.9 @ 30f.
That cleared up a double callback.
Last fall, competion replaced a...
Heatcraft remote condenser, year '96
DVT0022C2F 2 ckt
Nothing in my searches to find capacity.
Physical size may confirm 22Kbtu?
anyone with this info
The thermal image is simply showing the reflected several kw defrost heat off the wall.
Swap the IR camera with your phone on video and try catch where those rivulets are coming from.
Think I heard that he's become an electrician!
The info will apply to other techs
The above is quite typical of short defrosts.
Would be funny if OP's short defrost was simply a LPC trying to pump too low, eh.
I may have figured out the multiple click fiasco:
Doesn't Heatcraft have some condensers eqpt with a defrost contactor controlled thru a NC contact on the comp. contactor??
Common everyday useage of anti-bacterial soap is imo the worst thing that you can do to promote body health.
Bacteria, virus, various yeast & molds will grow on your body.
Quite surprising the interest shown by bands in vacuum-tube amps.
Apparently, the built-in distortion, grid resonation etc is a desireable element in their music, as opposed to 20-18khz flatline...
Transformer the size of a car battery...
dble post rx receiver
guess that's not hvac is it.
Unlike everyone else, I find that SC does mean something even with a rx.
Sight glass full or not, I would try adding ref.
SC of 2 at comp means flashing at first restriction.
12 to 18 sc...
Well, I'm impressed with your awareness, Techman! Didn't think anyone actually read my ramblings.
Yes my left (shooting) eye is much better even 1 day after catarract removal.
And I'll guess...
That fuse is on the primary side, so would be equiv to a 2a secondary fuse, no?
Pull up a 100% full reclaim tank to the fire and sit.
Always something going on.
Check for cracks etc.
Mounted on motor, lay silfos across outer-top edge of hand rotated blades.
Correct the out of line blade.
Get silfos touching bottom-outer edges.
Repeat as needed until...
So that suction line is 77f ?
33sh seems hi for 85 ambient.
That would by rated by the mfgr.
I pulled specs from a store we did:
Hill 05DMH cases-multideck dairy/deli.
Listed at 1390btu/ft or 16,800 btu for 12 ft.
In remote stores I've pulled...
If you want to get really good at solving "freezing up" problems, you have to dig deeper than " evap keeps freezing up.
That initial view often holds the clue to the problem.
Is it really...
Problem discovered and solved.
Giyad, start by getting your AC's
condenser (rad) totally clean.
The compressor is probably cycling on overload- that's the breaks it's taking.
If kitchen temp & humidity is reduced things...
Several things can cause cycling on the motor's protection...
Dry or worn bushings
Vented motor plugged
Since it's easy enough, pull one txv apart and ck if push pins are seized (its the start of max cooling, WOT txv's)
I can see all 3 gummed up, but not 3 elements gone.
I'll be mildly surprised if the solution has been covered here.
The low suction would suggest that it's not the heat load.
In those days power was cheap, large compressors were the norm.
Like a 289 ford engine in a Sunbeam Tiger.
Is there a tiny 03 drier at each txv?
SH is too hi.
Pictures are too dark to pick out much on my phone.
First impression is that the problem was correctly handed to the correct dept- the walk-ins' installers.
This is not piping/wiring entry...
What's the defrost schedule?
Don't worry about the miniscule oil loss.
They typically are uneffected by 20% loss.
As to additives, there's a huge difference between orifice tubes/txv's and 12ft of .026" capillary tube....
ASEtech, you sure did everything to try get that fridge repaired!
Locate the access stub on the compressor (1/4" copper, 8" long).
Buy a piercing access valve for this stub.
Load the fridge...
I've been in the trade since dinosaurs roamed, and never resorted to contaminating a system with dye.
Your 1oz in the fridge's 4oz charge is akin to adding 20oz dye to a heat pump.
It's the shell of hermetics that would concern me.
You've piqued my interest!
So, here I sit, drawing right angle triangles on a Mexican seedless (a watermelon, not an impotent central...
Perhaps if Trane stopped painting the compressor to look like the great pumpkin?
Yes, the number one leak site in my limited res experience!
Those valves all seem to leak in time.
Some mfgrs used to sticker the hexagonal caps telling you finger tight, then 60 deg more.
Mike, a hint to direct your studies...
Terminal [y] does nothing at air handler.
What does [g] do?
By the tapering water pattern it possibly is originating from the left of picture.
The solution is to mop it dry and watch the progression of the leak.
Brian, going waay back to post #1, I think that you've got the clock's wiring messed up.
The poor defrost may have been because compressor was still pumping ref.
When you had shut...
Kefah, the major advantage of a scroll surely applies to your conditions...
Improved volumetric efficiency at HIGH temperature vs reciprocating unit.
Just an observation on the necessity of works for salvation...
Surely the thief on the cross was unable to provide works, yet was assured his immediate salvation.
