Actually, Schneider employed Loytec to assist them with the development of Struxureware.
So its no surprise that it appears very similar.
The loytec touchscreens are good to use, I like them.
The configuration can be a bit quirky at times, but they are very flexible.
I have never had any problems with integration into LON or Bacnet...
I wish we new this issue before we installed one on our job!!
We got a Mitsubishi and a LG side by side, communicating to a Loytec device over Bacnet/IP.
The Mitsubishi Gateway is fine never...
Yeah thats true, however we have programmed systems where we needed to modify the programming in some VAV's, so we used the CC6400 to hold the B++ programs which then did Read/Writes to the VAV...
Deos have a pretty wide range of control products and their method of programming is pretty cool.
Basically as you configure and program the graphics and are being made in the background. Obviously...
This type of problem with uploading, is usually caused by poorly written programs which are using excessive resources from the CPU.
If you do a diagnostic check on the controller you will probably...
I had to run Win 7 in XP mode to make the com port drivers work.
This is the config manual.
Should still be current.
In this pic below, I have pulled in a Modbus datapoint from a Chiller, so that it can be displayed.
So set your Johnson datapoint properties that you want to display on the L-Vis to write....
Another thing to consider is the data point flow.
The Cooling Valve output needs to be a write from the JCI PPG controller, because it is writing the value to the network.
However the Loytec needs...
I know the Loytec touch screens have dual nics on their 12" and 15" screens.
I am sure you can get them for less than $4k?!
They are Bacnet and OPC compliant, not sure if it's what you are looking...
That Floorplanner looks pretty good, I played around with it for about 5 mins and thought that it is a nice and easy interface to use.
A lot simpler than 3DSMax or even Sketchup IMHO, and the...

The few brain cells I've got left, can't seem to stretch far enough to get a good grip with VBA and all its capabilites......I've been a bit daunted by it and haven't had the time to sit down long...
Seen it and used it.......
It is pretty good for quoting projects, if you take the time to set it up properly.
You also need to have Visio installed to make maximum use of the software.
Strange how some guys are finding it hard to get hold of the Loytec stuff here in the land of Oz.
I've had no problems so far with them, and they have been extremely helpful with great Tech support....
Mind if I jump on the bandwagon here?
Hey Incontrol, you got me revisiting this issue (it's hard to think straight after a late night and a sore head).
If you Google gif2mng there is a free converter which will convert...
I had this issue as well.....and the reply I got back from tech support is that .gif animations can only use 256 colours therefore transparency is not used.
If you need the transparency then L-Vis...

Thanks for the link to the Eikon tool,
I've been looking for that for ages, and had given up on it.

I have a site, which I am ripping the Johnson N2 system out, and replacing it with a Loytec network.
The Carrier chillers are 30HXC French machines (still CCN protocol)
The high level interface...
Great job Frank!

My current business policy is to remain as independant as possible, with as...
Any chance of grabbing a copy as well???
If so your help would be most appreciated.
Sounds like we have a bit in common, as I am in the same boat as you. Lot of experience on the CCN stuff, but am also finding a lack of support, now that I am out on my own, and now they...
I actually use the same method ausccn recommended, but it is a bit cumbersome cause you need to plug the Ethernet converter into a 24V supply (which is not always readily available).
CView was designed only for a serial port, and doesn't take into account the config of USB connections. Carrier won't spend any resources to do this as it will be phased out...
Mikey check your email, I sent you some basic info on it.

I found the Carrier stuff easy to learn on, as it was primarily orientated towards control of HVAC equipment, without getting too involved in all the added capabilities that a TRUE control system is...
You know how to drag up old memories!!!

First thing is that the Chillervisor which uses the ACR Algorithm in determining Chiller/s Start is probably not your best option.
I think there may have been some miscommunication in the discussion...
Is this similar to what you have on site?
If not then what connections are there on the module you have?
Do you have any bridge modules on the network?
How many devices are on the CCN?
My question is, if you can't find the Chillers Translator, then how are you going to import the .cwx file????
Like you I've only ever commissioned field fitted LEI's, not the factory fitted ones....
Thats what I thought, but I'm down in OZ, and Carrier over here see the product as only available to their branches.
They have the mentality, that Controls Contractors are the "enemy" as they...

Any bets for how long the piece of string is??
CCNWeb 2.1 is good, as all you need is an internet connection and Internet Explorer to be able to access the Chiller, its pretty much plug and play, just bear in mind,
That the table displays are...
Their new range of "Open" line controls will be BACnet MS/TP based controllers, no IP or ethernet unless you use a gateway.
Seems like they are trying to carve out a niche market in integrating...

Very very funny, yet there is a strange truthfulness in it.........
Also if it's connected to a primary comms, then unplug it while you do the download, that stops the controller from trying to read and write info across the network while you're trying to download to...
