FINALLY - got someone to answer the phone in the sales dept. The final word is that this fireplace is not compatible with a blower. I'm apparently not the first to notice that Lowes stocks blowers...

I found this posting - after buying the same unit from Lowes. I haven't started installation yet, and I'm curious as to how this ended for you.
