You have to watch the temperature however to make sure you still have enough cooling to the drive.

Upgrade to PIC 3 controls from Carrier and have them put a Liquid Flow drive on... Much easier and made for those chillers.
I just started on one today!!
Buy them from your local Carrier branch, you're not going to get them any cheaper anywhere else.
Havent had any issues, sounds like a fluke to me.
Dont get in a big hurry, understand the smaller stuff first. Once you are proficient on those systems then move on to something a little bigger etc. etc. etc.
High pressure transfer/recovery machine. Make sure to have flow.
Have fun drying that system out, it can be done but it's not fun...
Frame 5? Do you mean once you have the suction elbow and guide vane assembly down? Not sure what you are asking here, are you talking rigging or measuring the thrust?
There are too many variables that can come into play here without knowing more details on the scenario of your project such as tonnage, electrical details, comfort cooling vs process cooling, etc......
The micro channel coils are nice and easy to clean, very similar to a radiator. If one should go bad they are also easy to replace.
There should be low pressure switches or loss of charge switches to protect the system if it was out of gas! We need more infor however.
You just started service work a year ago and you are attempting to tear one of these down? Is someone else helping you?
Check your heat exchanger thoroughly. More than likely it is bad.
You shouldn't need a complete overhaul, was there a bad oil sample or just wanting to check thrust?
The flow switch is electronic and will be located on the barrel/piping area.

The grass isn't always greener, trust me, I had to find out the hard way. I would say stay where you are until you are miserable going to work everyday. Don't be in a huge hurry to work on "the big...
I agree with lowering the condenser water temps, you will be much more effecient than keeping the high head pressures you are currently running.
I spent the better part of a month drying out a 30xa one time, it can take awhile.
Union in Cincinnati.
I spent some time drying one out this summer, what a treat.
Slide valve?
Not gonna be cheap!
I live here and dont watch em'.
Got to love it when the ball is dropped.
I've seen loops any where from 30 to 90 degrees, I would always recommend glycol.
My thoughts exactly!
Can't see it happening!
Agreed, they do suck!!!!!
