Yeah, What Bald Said.
does the manual say anything about cycle rate?
maybe fast and/or slow?
honeywell visionpro 8000 is compatible with everything I think.
You just have to set it up right.
By 2/1 stage 75000 btu furnace I am assuming you mean a 2 stage furnace and an A/C?
what is a realistic estimate of how many days you see below freezing temps?
actually, when I took my test last month the proctor told me that they also were offering two hydronics certifacations now. gas fired, and oil fired I believe.
of course there would be install and...
What are you paying for gas?
Unless you have figured out how to walk on the ceilings this won't be an issue.
Is there another comparable unit?
I would take my temp readings a little ways down the trucks instead of right at the joint even if only a foot farther.
sqft means virtually nothing when sizing a unit. Run a load calculation such as Manual J
First I'll say Welcome Home, and Thanks.
1) the differance in an 80 and a 90 is about ten percent. Theoretically it should cost you about 10% less to heat with a ninty.
2) as mentioned all will...
At the price of gas now adays I would go with a two stage 90% w/ VS blower and a 13 SEER HP.
And for humidity without the heat running I would get a steam humidifier.
As for SEER versus HSPF...
And you may run into problems venting a new power vented furnace into the same vent as you water heater as well.
TXVs either work, or they don't.
Take the bulb off the suction line and put it in a glass of water and let it sit for a little while. this closes a working TXV. Turn the system on and with one...
I thought the reason the airflow was lower was so the air temps would remain the same.I could see there possibly being a few degrees differance, but I would say the air would be cooler. do you know...
From a pure comfort aspect the Modulating 90 is the way to go, as long as you get the expensive modulating thermostat to go with it. If I had the money to go this way I would.
Otherwise I would go...
Rheem if about to introduce a super quiet 80 twostage with an ECM blower.
If I had to go 80 and could possibly get by till then this would be my choice.
also the units should come with installation instructions you can read through them and learn alot. Matter of fact most all of them I have read have a start-up checklist in them.
the super quiet Rheem/Ruud has solid doors on it.
I am also curious about the restrictions that only allow him to install an 80%
My guess would be the imbalance of supply and demand of the VS motors.
My prediction is that this time next year every unit Rheem/Ruud sell will have one except maybe the bargain units.
