EF does keep their info pretty locked up. Even when I worked for Jerry, I was not allowed to take service manuals or wiring diagrams out of the shop. The training EF offers is only available to...
Jerry's rates can be a little high. But that's what allows me to steal his customers at will. :-)
Naaa, No voltage. Just continuity. Jerry should have a used set of probes laying around.
Any one have a service manual for a Carvel DH-80 ?
thanks
I have not come across this before.
walk in cooler with 3 evaporators. I'm getting what looks to be a huge pressure drop across the liquid line solenoid valve.
slightly warm on one side frozen on...
Lol How do you feel about sticking your head iinside a greasy fryer for a couple hours ?
Same here, I'm an independent
you going hot side cold side or both ?
Yep, odd hours. walking into the job site and no one knows anything about what the unit is doing wrong (is Blokin) seems to be a pretty standard answer. Extremely cramped spaces to work in. Had to...
I have one of my customers from he** with a se8.
The only problem with the unit is the thickness knob is very hard to turn.
I've delt with this with Berkel's and Globe's a number of times with easy...
Sorry John I missed your post.
Customers unit is overtemping, What I need to know before I spend time disassembling it is how it's sensing temp. Therm probe ? and a part number for the control...
No, thats the HSG. Pretty cool units. They would be even better if they worked.
I see that,
Electrolux informed me that they would only provide that info to their "platinum service providers"
Cant seem to find any info for an Electrolux Ditto EPG/RUSA panini press.
Anyone have a manual / link for parts list ?
Thanks gang.
Since when is Manpower a recruiter for Hobart ?
I did manage to get that thing sorted out, most of my problems came from them trying to tie it into an old 220 delta system, no 110 leg to grab for control usage.
I thought about that, That's why I'd like to get a look at a diagram.
Who ever removed this thing from it former location proably used a chain saw, 3 sticks of dynamite and and a tow truck to do...
Heres one I've never seen before.
A hobart 1 piece kitchen (seriously)
A 1 piece electric SS unit with, 2 burner stove top, 1 bin steam table, 3 ft griddle, 2 fryers, 4 refrigerated storage...
I am aware that the beater motors do not cycle with the compressors, I was trying to see if the beater motors we're shutting off at all.
Most cases of broken product stem from constant beating.
The little beads I'd bet a dollar are butter forming in the ice cream mix.
listen for the machine to cycle off. Chances are the compressor shuts off but the beater motors do not.
working on the units for a lifetime , training 6 years but continues everyday, in the field 4 years. solo not long
So... About my solo venture.
After beating the streets for weeks, meeting owners, managers, waitress's and a few dishwashers. basicly anyone in the company that could get my card and flyer on the...
Put it this way, If I we're any farther upstate I would need to learn French.
specialties? lol one of them being repairing Ice cream machines. not much call for that most of the year
So...
Yep, So I made the leap to solo.
The workload has incresed by 100% and the income has all but dried up.
I am staying somewhat busy, but not enough to pay the bills.
I had planned on things being...
You are correct Sir,
Sorry about that.
E-mail AZhvac@aol.com
I'm looking for a reasonably priced recovery machine and vacuume pump
They need to be in ready to work condition please.
Thanks Baja
I Had a Vulcan at the local jail that did the same thing, Turned out to be the stepdown transformer burnt out.(no voltage to board)
Funny thing is that I still have yet to figure out what causes it...
I would think the fan in the exhaust hood would be enough to clear the smoke,
You sure it's running and not covered on the outside ?
things have gone down hill with our company since new owner took over.
Who's in charge of what changes weekly. policys and Procedures change daily. We're not allowed to stock any parts over a value...
looks like it's the Promax for me. I've used them for years now (for company work) too bad it;s a little out of budget for me at this time.
I'll have to add it to my santa list. And keep this...
Ditto that. fan switches are often the problem.
Do you have power to the ignightor on start up ?
is the ignitor good ?
Power coming from the board to the ignitor ?
I've found most of the burnt off wires I have encountred are caused by a loose connect somewhere else in the circut.drawing high amps.
make sure everythings tight and in good condition, if it looks...
The fact that Taylor uses a flooded chamber/evap system and the refrigerant is held back by nothing more then a rubber gasket.
Gasket goes bad and the machines gonna need a new "shell-hopper"...
I will agree that Taylor machines break down less often then some other brands on the market, But.......
I do have a problem with the fact that Taylor has known about the shell leak problem for...
I worked on all makes of soft serve machines for a few years.
The problem your going to run into is getting parts.
Parts are sold thru distributors, Distributors also sell and service the machines...
Paid from 8am to 4:30 pm regardless of what I'm doing.
If an employee is driving to or from a job site he is doing work that advances the owners business and therefore should be paid for it.
If...
Put it this way, another 60 miles and I would have to learn French
Seems to be a wide open field. No one within 200 miles of here works on them. Other then dealerships. It was a perfect time for me to open a mobile repair service :D
Those Gas reefers = junk lol....
Exactly, campers motor-homes.
OEM parts all the way baby.
If they want cheap, they called the wrong guy. :D
If your hearts not in it 100% with your currant employer.
Then your doing a dis-service to both yourself and your employer.
Chances are pretty good that it's time to make a change.
Just my...
My side gig is RV systems. I was curious if anyone else was doing this type of work ?
His Father was in the Biz. He did mention that his father left a bunch of "junk" in the basement before he died. I'm thinking I may need to take a quick peek in said basement.;)
I know a few companys purchase recovered refrigerants. I was just curious if anyone had used them and what something like this might bring in.
After all I did trade a WHOLE hours labor for it.
Figures
Just like me to miss a chance to make a few easy bucks
lol thats exactly it too, got stuck with it.
Did a job for a guy today and he asked if I used other types of refrigerants. I told him yes, So he pulls this out of the basement and asks if I will...
Why yes I am, thanks for asking.
hmmmm 50 cents. How about a picture of the tank for 50 cents :D
Hey gang,
Anyone care to attempt to set a value for a 50 lb tank of virgin R-12 ?
And where might someone sell this tank that I have no use for ?
I've got to throw in my vote for Electrofreeze on this one.
The Electrofreeze is a solid machine with fewer parts. less parts = less to go wrong. Their mix transfer system is great, only 4 parts to...
