Would I be able to make it through the winter if I just had the Fill-Trol valve and Pressure relief valved replaced until then?

Maybe the removable screen on the Fill-Trol (auto pressure reducer / fill) valve is clogged?

The air scoop on top of the auto pressure reduction/fill valve also seems to be hollow.
The furnace has been turned off for around 27 hours.

So after tinging around on the pipes, I can hear that they seem to have NO water at all in them. The expansion tank has a ting at the bottom and a thud at the top, similar to the mainline pipe.

Both Schrader valves can be depressed freely now, but nothing exits the valve- no water or air - they just move up and down freely as if not even installed, even with the supply valve open.

The expansion tank is this one http://ecomfort.com/fill-trol-110-expansion-tank-fill-valve-44-gallon-110-1-3093.html . When I measure the tank it reads at less than 5 psi, when I first checked it - a...

With the water supply valve open all of the way, the Flow Rate on the Water meter reads ".000" I found out that the leak showing up on the meter was from the basement toilet reservoir.

The part that you speak of has the other side fully bolted in. I just thought the part was ambidextrous.

About the American Auto Air Purger, the manual says it should be 14-18" from a bend? Am I understanding that correctly? If so, I don't think ours was installed correctly, as it's connected to the...

The plastic buckets were actually just hedging my bets incase of a leak. I did have a bit of water escape from the auto-air purger but only a small amount.
There actually is no automatic water...
