I am not sure of the exact cost but some where in the 1500-2000 range.
Have a 30hxa076ry540 with the CARRIER 30HXA076RY540 S/N 1602Q01447
1. CHILLER 0,10 Alarm - 6 at 16:43 7-Sep-2007: A038 Oil Solenoid A1 Failure
2. CHILLER...
Had a similar situation with a Few I-Pacs losing compressors, every one that
failed had a defective CCH.
I have seen a utility from carrier that starts and stops c-view, releasing the comm port driver. Carrier Rep said he would e-mail it to me.
Convert the system to 3v; Save yourself the aggravation:
Dell D-630 with windows XP, has all the needed ports. Carrier has come out
with a new version of Service Tool that runs in windows. I am told it is half the
price of C-View.
A properly sized VFD will convert the in coming single phase power to 3-Phase.
The drive in such an application would be sized at 6 HP for a 3 HP single phase
load, or there abouts.
The Carrier HX and HXA have performed well for us. Keep up with the oil filter
replacement recommendations and keep in mind that the water cooled machines
do not like low condenser water temps....
This unit is a heatpump and has a sorted history of lock out problems. Most units i have
seen do not have LP switches but Loss of charge switches. Also there is a special LOC
board that monitors...
Check out Maneurop compressors, they are less expensive and are a drop-in replacement for Trane scrolls.
Up grade to carrier 3V
Just a thought, if the trane compressor is not in warrenty you can get a much
cheaper drop-in replacement from Maneurop.
What type of compressor did you install? Are their driers in the air handler?
I have seen this problem when the valve is not installed properly[flow]
Is the valve in the supply or return piping?
What machine is this compressor in ?
Fuses are thermal devices, the fuses are are overheating due to bad connections or there is a short to ground. Focus on the obvious.
Sounds like you lost a reed valve, maybe damaged the rod on that cylinder. Check out superheat and cch.
Does this setup have a liquid line solenoid, how is it controlled? Is the crankcase
heater in good working order. What is the subcooling and superheat?
Can this unit be set up to do some dehumidifcation, also seal up all return ducts,
filter access doors ect.
Make sure the sensors are secure in their wells and that you are actually controlling to leaving water temp. Is this machine set up for Reset, does it have
an EMM module. Check" Dely" setpoint...
Does this chiller have comfortlink controls installed? What is the Approx. water
volume in the system?
I agree with kcwong, most problems with chiller, boiler plants are due to the aux equipment.
Check the cc heater, verify correct control voltage. Start up with load side of
contactors disconnected
With units disconnected from ICS and running in test modethe out put is again limited to 8,7 v
The Rain birds are connected to the correct pressure transducer port, Polarity of the drive signal is correct and was verified at both the RTAM and VFD. Static transducer out put was tested and found...
Units are YCD480 machines . The out puts on the "RTAM" Board are J1-1 and J1-3. The dip sw settings are config for VAV, unit has economizer, power exhaust and TCI
Installed two new Trane Reliatel VAV RTU units. The RTRM is limiting the 0-10vdc output to 8.7 v. Both units doing the same thing. RTUS are part
of a summit system.
Will the machine run in the stand alone mode? Remove OAS and connect to
LTB1-1 and LTB1-2.
