That's the problem. It does not blink when the ice falls. The bin full light will come on and off however, when you stick your hand between them. It's a weird one.

Just go back to your basics. You have to be "below" the ambient to pick up heat. Figure out where you want your cut out to be. I usually start with about 10 degrees below box temp.
