A good shot of oil *might* keep the bearings going for a while.
From another forum, pretty much sums it up:
I don't see anyone doing any post pooping. I do see the OP getting bent out of shape for no reason.
You asked if the thermostat was bad, a simple voltage check would provide the answer.
What was the voltage across the thermostat terminals?
You will need something you threw away within a month, don't ask me how I know. :(
Where are the vacation pictures??
You guys are just jealous cuz u can't braze that fast! :P
I thought this was about the drought in Kansas... ;)
5/8 tubing slipped over it loosely. Brazed it with 15%, good to go. The pipe wasn't stretched, it was straight, stiff, and perfectly round. (after digging back to good pipe)
A local contractor was digging up a water line at a church and snagged the LP line. It is hard drawn copper, .465 OD and .390 ID. Obviously I have no fittings that fit.
Anyone know what this pipe...
I am a zero energy device every morning until I get my coffee. ;)
I do not disagree that upper management and CEOs should have taken a pay cut, however, they are not union and had no part in calling the strike. Hostess has stated repeatedly that they do not have...
Looks like the union threw out the baby with the bathwater. Emporia KS now has 600 more unemployed.
What is this "fleeing and looting" you speak of? :)
I use a tapered broach: http://www.andersonforrester.com/products.php?PId=183
GoHerd, I can't help you with your decision, but I would like to thank you for your service in the military.
Try practicing outside in the wind, with a wet rag on one side of the joint. Then imagine R&R a reversing valve. I'm not saying it can't be done, but your rag may be dried out and on fire before you...
I'm from eastern Kansas. I hope you don't think my comment meant I am anti breast cancer awareness. :(
LL solenoid may be leaking through after the box temp is satisfied, causing short cycling.
Rock and Roll version, pretty good if you ask me.

Must be a breast cancer awareness donut.
Putting it in upside down would have saved a lot of work... ;)

The saying goes like this, "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten".

on/off thingy ;)
I think rehab means our tax dollars are paying for it.
What's the amp draw when it's running and when it tries to start?
Pipe stretchers come in handy in situations like that. :)
Try a different brand of soap. I use Dawn or Joy, about 2 TBS to a quart. I've used other brands that jusy didn't seem to bubble worth a damn.
If you can hear it, you should be able to zero in on...
Normal rates: $100 per hour
Customer watches: $200 per hour
Customer helps: $300 per hour

There are indeed seagulls in Kansas. They can usually be found sitting on Carrier RTUs.
Last pic looks like a guy I used to work with, but my memory isn't too good these days.
It may look like my 1st ex-wife.
Most new condensing units have delay built into the board. I'm not sure about Luxaire though. rtfm ;)
Is the time delay working? The condenser shouldn't restart on a call for cool for about 5 minutes.
Copper diameter was obviously too small, next size up would have fit tighter and prevented this tragedy.
Texas must have low subcooling... :)
I read this entire thread last nite and you guys made me lol a lot, and also miss my bedtime. :(
I can relate to the thermostats not on or on fan only, doors off, etc. I've seen several. The...
They covered it up because it was making the roof hot.
Wait till January and see what happens. The intardnet never lies! ;)
A piece of old garden hose would have been sooo much easier...
I've had good luck with Hotshot in old R12 medium temp systems. Change the FD, evacuate and charge to about 85% of R12 nameplate weight, and the beer will be cold.
If a lake is low on water it will definitely freeze up. It says so on the internet.
You sure it was a dog? ;)
Thank you
Anyone?
Didn't know that, thanks for the info. Now, if I can just remember it...
What do you guys use for a wall R factor in old houses when the HO has no idea what insulation is in the walls?
Put a condom over it. :)
